2020 Top 3 Burgers in London

Best in London for 2020

We survived 2020 and it was a very tough year especially for Londoners and the restaurant industry. A lot of places closed, people weren’t eating out and places had to adapt. Especially in my area, I saw a lot of delivery only places popup. A small kitchen that uses Deliveroo and Uber Eats to serve customers and I think it actually worked well. I personally had access to more burgers for delivery and I could continue my hobby.

So here is my list of the best burgers I tried for 2020 in London!

#3 Brewdog’s Beyond Meat Burger – 9/10

The first of the Top 3 burgers is Brewdog’s Beyond Meat burger, which might be a bit of a surprise to some since it is a vegan burger. I used to be sceptical towards the vegan patty options, but Beyond Meat and Brewdog delivered. The truth is most of the vegan patties are tastier than their meat counterparts you will try at a lot of places. It is a burger that hasn’t lost its identity yet is very different in its flavour profile. If you are in London or any other Brewdog venue I seriously recommend you try it, you won’t be disappointed (even if you are vegan patty sceptic) !

#2. Mammoth Ultimate Burger – 9/10

Mammoth Burger finds the 2nd slot in our list and is a very classic burger with a twist. Absolutely blasting with flavour it is a very well executed simple recipe… with a twist… or twists…  floss… pork floss. Which I’m sure you haven’t tried anywhere else since in all my years of foodie exploration I haven’t seen it but boy I love it. It adds additional flavour and texture to the otherwise very simple recipe and gives it character. I really liked the idea and with few nudges, this could be a 10/10. If your Deliveroo or Uber Eats are within reach or you are simply in the area you should definitely give it a try.

#1 Boro Bistro’s Classic Burger – 10/10

Boro Bistro’s Classic burger was a present at the end of the year. It was an unexpected surprise and I absolutely loved it. A kind of a classic execution with French style, flavours that make you happy. It was one of the places I want to to give as an example of how to make a good patty. The patty was leaner than I would normally like and recommend, but it had the right amount of seasoning and spices highlight the beef flavours. The taste was well balanced and was paying tribute to each of the ingredients. If you are in London around London Bridge you should definitely give it a try!

I hope 2021 is much better for everyone and it brings a lot of tasty burgers!
