How tasty is the Motherf*#$&r? – 9.5/10

Black Bear Burgers keeps that pure version of a burger that doesn’t joke around with salad and gives you good burger with cheese and sauce.

The burger had:

• Aged Beef Patty
• Cheese
• Bacon
• Honey Mustard Mayo
• Sesame White Bun

Meat is great meat is season with steak seasoning and it is very tasty. It is using a more fatty cut and the seasoning does push the flavour further. My only problem is that it is a bit to salty. You need a drink with that burger. It is one of the few case scenarios where I like a crispy bacon. It is well made, not too crunchy and hard, it compliments the meat and lets face it, bacon makes everyone happy.

Usually heavy meat focus overwhelms the cheese flavour especially if it isn’t strong enough but this wasn’t the case. Nicely melted, present in every bite and very delicious it left me a very happy man.

The burger sauce was great and specifically the honey that built on top of the bacon and the patty. The mustard and mayo just went great with the cheese and provided a great base profile.

I love sesame seeds on thebun but it wasn’t toasted which would have increased the flavour profile of the seeds IMO and was a bit dry but overall a great bun for a burger.

Burger joint venue and overall experience? – 5/10

It was a small burger stand and I didn’t try much from the sides but the choice wasn’t large. But BoxPark as a location is great because you can mix and match food and grab whatever drinks you want.

Quirkiness level of the experience? – 3/10

The burger is very saucy and greasy, so it is a really lovely junk food burger, but the recipe isn’t something unheard of or weird.
