While I was on my world trip I had a stop in Gurugram in India. A colleague recommended this burger joint and specifically this monstrosity. Boy was I surprised. The knife on the Photo is a large steak knife and the 300g that were written in the recipe… that is the meat only.

How tasty is the Motherf*#$&r? – 6.0/10

Let’s get clear. Size matters… but not as much as taste. This burger was certainly the biggest I’ve tried but I can’t say the same about the flavour.

Size: XXL

The burger had:

  • Lamb Patty
  • Cheese and Jalapeno Stuffing
  • Coleslaw
  • White Sesame Bun

So, this was not a patty like any other. Inside that lamb patty was orgy of several cheeses which had perfectly melted. I can’t say the lamb was the cooked with a perfect balance of spices (Strange considering that all the meat I ad in India was seasoned perfectly with a lot of flavour clashing and balancing out). I think the amount of meat was simply overwhelming but it was good. However, the centrepiece of this meal was certainly the melted cheese (literally the center part of the burger). Since it was quite a bit you could actually feel it in every bite… in some only it. For a cheese lover like me this was a great experience although it could have been better for sure. Sadly I was looking for the jalapenos in every bit but couldn’t really find them, maybe keep them outside of the stuffing next time?

The coleslaw that was served with it was there more for the mayo and greasing up the bun rather than an amazing taste combination. It brought a nice crunch to every bite together with the lettuce but to be honest I was slightly disappointed.

I have to admit that the enormous toasted sesame bun was a simple and good uniter to all  these ingredients but  sadly there  wasn’t a lot of play with flavour

Burger joint venue and overall experience? – 5/10

The venue had a selection of classic Indian style sodas and soft drinks which were not for my taste and I don’t think they went well with burger. Non the less the fries were nicely salty and greasy like in grandma’s. Recently I’ve been having a great experience with fries everywhere.

Quirkiness level of the experience? – 7//10

You eat this burger about the experience. You have huge burger that you can barely bite through and after you do you are granted the gift of gods – stringy melted cheese. You don’t come to this burger joint for the high-quality gourmet food, you come here for the messy, fatty experience
