Latin intensity
Honest burgers so far is one of my favourite chains so I decided to take my girlfriend to taste the new burger of the month and maybe try something new.

How tasty is the Motherf*#$&r? – 7/10
I would say Chimichurri is one of the more quirky and interesting burgers I’ve tried in the Honest burger chain. It had a very atypical taste that really made the experience more interesting.
The burger had:
- Beef Patty
- Chorizo Relish
- Red Chimichurri
- Provolone Cheese
- Malbec Onions
- Shallot Mayo
- Brioche Bun
As usual lets start with the meat. It is high quality and tasty however the chimichurri and the relish are so strong they really mask the beef flavor and as you know I’m a fan of balance. I want each bite to be a full experience. That said the Chorizo Relish was amazing very tasty and it went great with the chimichurri but both had such and intense taste they masked the flavor of everything else.
I love the slight spiciness of the burger coming from the chimichurri. It was there but it wasn’t killing any of you taste buds or ruining the experience. The mayo gave the burger even more juiciness but I can’t say the taste was there.
The Malbec Onions were a great compliment to the Latin theme somehow and went really well with the intensity of the chorizzo relish and chimichurri
Cheese was a good choice in the less South American flavored bites it could stick out but most of the time it wasn’t strong enough to make a difference and I would say either add more or don’t add cheese at all.
And as most places these days the brioche bun is more of a place holder rather than a specific part of the recipe.
Non the less the Chimichurrri is a great burger and I would advise to try it if its in rotation of your local Honest Burger.
Burger joint venue and overall experience? – 7/10
So Honest Burgers is a pretty regular looking burger joint. There aren’t many drinks choices but service is great and quick. One thing that kicks ass are the rosemary fries, you get them for free with your burger and they are a very good pallet refresher.
With this burger I any strong ale would suit it great. The burger is punchy in taste so you need something very flavorful to clear your pallet.
I recommend: Fourpure Shape Shifter it is one of the best IPAs I’ve tried in a while it has a distinct taste and it goes great with the burger. I would go with this one with most of the burgers there.
Quirkiness level of the experience? – 7//10
It is a standard burger joint. The rotating burgers and rotating ales does make a difference if you want to try new experiences once a month. As I’ve said the Honest Burger chain is the best from the larger gourmet burger chains.
This one has a higher score mostly because of the burger and its unique flavour. It is not something you taste in every burger and it really plays with your taste buds
