Recipe excites you and execution brings you down. A decent burger that doesn’t live up to its ingredients

How tasty is the Motherf*#$&r? – 6/10

The burger had:

  • wagu beef
  • rocket
  • wasabi mayo
  • beef tomato
  • red onion
  • blue cheese.

I was so excited about this burger and so dissapointed in the end.

Let’s start with the meat. I’ve had wagu beef, it is lovely it is one of the best experiences ever with meat. However, this one was NOT wagu or maybe it had traces of it and that is about it. The patty was definitely frozen prior to cooking and was way too dry. Flavour and spices were lacking and medium wasn’t really medium.

The bites finished with the harsh taste of fresh onions which overwhelmed all others tastes sadly.

I love blue cheese on burgers I think when you balance it, it is one of the better choices but this one was lacking, it wasn’t punchy it wasn’t bringing balance and it taste disappeared from your mouth in few seconds.

And last but not least, the wasabi mayo… where was the wasabi seriously I’ve had stronger experiences with light mustards. I would have hoped for a wasabi sting to spice up the pallet.

All and all it was a decent burger but the ingredients set the expectations too high.

Burger joint venue and overall experience? – 5/10

Small burger joint nothing too fancy. It had a collection of funny signs that really made the interior interesting but not much place to sit. Their chips, however, were quite delicious and the choice is plentiful.

Quirkiness level of the experience? – 4/10

I was expecting more especially from the burger with interesting meat and sauces sadly the execution was sub par.
