How tasty is the Motherf*#$&r? – 7/10

The burger was the first “weirdo” I decided to try and it hit that strange note.

What we have is:
– Glazed Donut
– Crispy Caramelized Onions
– Bacon
– Pickles
– Beef Patty
– Cheddar

Now I need to say that I can’t find the exact recipe and I can’t find it online so I might be missing something. None the less I still remember the first bite.

As you might expect it is very sweet and the onions and bacon partner so well with the glazed doughnut.
The beef patty was there but it was more for the meaty taste rather than contributing on its own in any way.
The pickles were an interesting addition because they were trying to create that confusion in your mouth and it was working very well. If only the cheese could have partnered so well, but honestly I can’t think of a cheese to either balance or complement the taste perfectly.

All and all it was a very strange burger, It was delicious but not something you would eat every day.

Burger joint venue and overall experience? – 7/10

Bread Meats Bread is a great place. It is the burger joint that addicted me to gourmet burgers. Choice of burgers is big, the fries and poutine are like crack and there is a good choice of drinks. Overall I love the place.

If it moved away from Scotland where you have regulations about how you prepare beef I think it can get even better results.

Quirkiness level of the experience? – 8/10

OK, so we are talking about a burger in a glazed doughnut, quirkiness is there. But I’ve heard and seen  (not yet tried) about even quirkier ones so I’m going to give it an 8/10 in that department. Honestly, I was expecting more shock in my mouth but the balance was definitely there which reduced the quirkiness level and increased the “I may have that again” level.
